So. I've been busy with life. A lot has changed in the past month. A lot. But first, a plea.

I will be uploading scans tomorrow of my "final" first four pages of my comic adaption of Roald Dahl's Lamb to the Slaughter [link] for my Comic: Short Story class. If you could give me feedback within this next week, that would be marvelous and spiffy and would really help me.

My comic class has kept me insanely busy. In 2 weeks when we were doing thumbnails, I went through about 40 pages in my sketchbook... of all thumbnails. Plus it's gone through sketches of characters, environments... ahh. My poor baby. It's got about 10 pages left to it. But I don't know if this is a result of confidence boost (see below) or MCAD working it's magic and making me draw so darn much I don't have time to care about whether or not it looks good, so I get experience in without complaining about it, or what, but I am a lot more confident in my art. I don't want to hide it. Yeah, I know I'm not the best artist out there (nowhere close!) but the only way to get better is to keep practicing, and keep going, and I have seen huge improvement in my artwork, and I am seeing positives, not just negatives. It's really amazing, seeing growth like that. I love it.

Now! For those of you who actually read this stuff, a brief (it's late) update about the personal life!

First off, Zach and I broke up. I don't want to talk about it. It's been hard, especially since we were engaged. It makes hearing anything about weddings and marriage and kids and all that so much harder. Unfortunately, now seems like a time when a good chunk of my friends are getting involved in all of that. fml. Now. Onto pleasant stuffs.

When my new roommate moved in, it changed a lot. I got along great with her, and with her friends too. One of them was a guy named Chris. Chris and I felt an insane attraction to each other and began dating. Our 1-month was last week. But all of my 'new' (it's been a month+ so they're not really new anymore) friends have had an insanely positive experience in my life. My confidence has skyrocketed, I'm a lot more outgoing and happy, I have somewhat of a social life now (somewhat...) and it's great. Life is good. Life is busy, but life is good.
